In later chapters he said the teach how he doesn't like stuff that'll make him lose control (like maybe reverting to act like the other zombies idk), stuff he'll obsess over with, like alcohol. Maybe a kiss is something that makes him lose control, so that's why he's trying to "get it out of his system" by throwing up? Idk
I mean, after rambling about all this, I just remembered that he's worse than the 6yo kids about knowing stuff. If he truly forgot his past, he might have trouble understanding personal space, liking someone romantically, and all that.
