I don’t know… I mean adding the ex was certainly not really needed but I like that they added the “proposal”. And Ash being a pervert was already implied/shown through out the main story. I like the side story adding a bit more world building and that we kinda get to see Karylel (I have no clue how to spell his name oopsies) becoming more comfortable talking to Ash! I was a little sad we didn’t get to see Karl (I’m shortening it for my sanity) interact more with Ash’s friends tho. So I agree on some parts but not on some other parts! (Not trying to argue just putting my two cents in! :D)
That’s the first story that I would say didn’t need a sidestory. I don’t know it was just weird or could‘ve been better… I just felt like the authors thought „oh we’re missing the drama of an ex lover (which wasn’t complex enough to be good), oh and wait they aren’t married yet we should add this too, so the last things missing is some spicy time, but with a little thrill because we haven’t had that yet so let’s make Ash a pervert“ and the „proposal“ absolutely didn’t match their vibe at all
