I think I know why I don't like this, and why others might not like it despite liking toxic leads and/or relationships. He's pretty much irredeemable, just acts like this for the sake of it and the power dynamics are awful. He's the prince/emperor and she's just... Some girl. The fact that they are in such an imbalanced relationship makes this uncomfortably similar to real life, and even worse that she acts so naively about it all, and lets him push her around, which, can't blame her because again, power imbalance. If you'd like to read something similar in dark romance typa manhwa, you should defo check out "My beloved oppressor", the ML has actual reasons to being how he is despite being a POS, and she doesn't just sit and take it because they don't really have a strong imbalance in their relationship.
