Just re read this, and as much as i love this story, something triggered me. His speech when he takes the crown, about how shin should be his, body, heart and mind, forever felt... so odd and out of place. The boy lived in fear, belonging to a mad king, who raped, killed children for pleasure. I feel like they were no room for such words
Like he coukd have voiced it in many ways, without remembering him that he is "something" that can be owned.

Well, Shin made the declaration first that he is Wolfgang's while they were only kids. I'm thinking there's been a kind of unspoken agreement between them, no? It is evident from the very beginning that Wolfgang's affection is only directed to Shin. When Wolfgang suggested to be the one to take of the cape, Shin took advantage of that and use him as his pawn, in exchange he shall be Wolfgang's when he becomes a king. It can sure be open for various interpretation, but Wolfgang's dialogue meant as a confirmation that he had now freed Shin being the 'King's child' just like how he promised before. It may sound like he is objectifying Shin due to his choice of words, though I doubt Shin would let himself be, and not like that Wolfgang really would take it literally (to the point of confinement). The man has been yearning for Shin all these years, so much that's the only way he could put his words to say he loved him/want him (quite passionately). And hey~ no one's fit to take care of Shin more than Wolfgang himself, and it will show as the story progressed! ^^

Oh, I'm not questioning that. I love their relationship, that's why I'm reading this story for the second time. But i do believe that those words were not the one tu be used
