I do understand the dead man switch, this was actually pretty well explained in the story, what I don't get is "why",

It made it hard for me to consider seriously their universe, even though I absolutely loved this book the immersion was............greatly compromised? Not sure if this is the right word but anyway yea I was confused. And I still am lol

Correct me if I'm wrong, I may not have grasped it all since I binged read this in like a matter of 2-3 hours, but forgive me but I dont think there's a checkpoint or so where he can just re load, from my perspective the reason why our ml also lost his mind was because it keeps repeating from the start, meaning he has to keep track of every move he made all throughout the process, it may also be that the reason being he keeps on going back to the second he just wakes up, prolly cuz if he looped back before the incident really happened, there would be no story, no? Where as if he looped back during the start of it quite actually makes sense logically. Yes the story was good but I quite agree on it being slightly compromised, ( if I word it correctly lmao) im still wondering as to how hyuniee was our cure all I can think is that either mc powers or just for plot ( which I don't really mind, I like it really) well anyways those are just my insights, I just wanted to let my thoughts out given that I don't really have those interested hearing me out- LMAO
So for the peeps who didn't understand why the loop was happening, So remember ml's backstory happened? The one during class? It was like a small hint of what the time loop was, so the dead man switch is like a safety device that automatically triggers a shutdown or other action if a human operator becomes incapacitated. So our dead man switch was our cute hyuniee, if hyun died there would be no cure, hence it all going back to the start, that's the simplest way I could explain it, however as for the reason why hyunie is the cure isn't really implied afaik( correct me if I'm wrong hehe)
