...I feel like an idiot. I found it after looking more on other sites that have recommendations and did Yumemiru taiyou and lo and behold there it is among the list. The manga is Harem Lodge. http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/harem_lodge/

It's like Yumemiru Taiyou, with the girl ending up living in a house full of guys, but the main interest is this guy who knew her father who was an artist who talked about his daughter to him all the time. The two did meet, but she forgot that meeting. The guy is set to become her fiance I think(Can't remember it quite clearly). The guy who owns the boarding house thing is a cross dresser. The boarding house has to be sold though and the main lover interests disappears though later reappears on tv with an author of a child's book that he gave the drawings for. If you know what it possibly could be please tell me, I'm pretty frustrated at myself for remembering all this but not saving or having a clue on the actual manga. (￣ε(#￣)
