no one asks that old man to save him, nor does Dan has any obligation to please anybody. That man helped him out of kindness, not like he was forced to either. And I don't know if they had like a lease contract or not, but the old man couldn't kick him out just because he had sleepwalking or alcohol problems, cause that ain't his business. Only when Dan doesn't make his rental payment in time or violates the lease contract can the old man kick him out (which I assume Dan still pays him perfectly).
You sure have a way of victim blaming, shaming somebody when they're clearly have anxiety and depression :) If you hate him just for being weak, then you should have hated him from the beginning. He's just being Dan, nothing changes.
They are both hella annoying. I really wanna sympathize with Dan but he’s refusing to fix his alcoholism problem and now he’s now not only killing himself slowly, but also causing issues to the people around him and being a nuisance, that poor old man he has a heart of gold, I can’t imagine getting a call from the people around him telling him to go get Dan from his drunk walking, on the daily basis if it was someone else Dan would be kicked out
