These types of stories just makes it seem like the author wanted to write it in that time period so they had an excuse to push misogynist views. Like, if a character came from modern times, I sure as heck hope they also have some modern understanding of feminism too. Otherwise, that’s an ick. The other characters kind of have an excuse, but the mc definitely doesn’t and it’s a huge pet peeve of mine

Considering it’s obviously written by a man, I don’t have high hopes :/ like I said, most of these stories are wish fulfillment stories and most male authors don’t have a habit of creating women in power rip. If they do, they have to make the male lead even stronger and suddenly the strong woman is the damsel in distress that needs to be saved. I’m like so jaded at this point lol
Kinda wish they let the fl become the leader of the clan and mc like pushes for it because he came from a more modern time and is like “why can’t a girl lead the clan?” And she falls in love with him because of how he is about it and he becomes the househusband taking care of all their poison babies, instead of him becoming the patriarch basically. Like, thanks for giving a feminist character before shoving her back into her box so she can let “her man” take care of her :/
