Due to Wang yibo's(actor who acted at Lan Wangji) fans,Xiao Zhan(I hope the spelling is correct.....actor who acted as Wei wuxian) had a hard time after the drama ended.
(Let's just addressed them as their charcter's name)
Wei wuxian after his drama was boycotted by fans due to weiyingxlanzhan fandoms(shippers like us lol).
The actor who acted as Lan Wangji is actually China's most talented actor, singer, racer, dancer....and more. Due to which the fans of his got really annoyed and angry for him being shipped with another guy.(Because in China same sex relationship is like illegal and dangerous).
The actor of Wei Wuxian almost lost his job as an actor, singer, which almost made him retire. He also got death threats, got Boycotted, death message and soo on.
(It was really scary and pitiful)
The two actors are like best best friends after they acted in this drama and so fandoms shippers started shipping them, editing their images together as couples and soo on which started the fire for the haters. The haters targetted the actor of Wei Wuxian.
For this reason both of them started interacting less, couldn't even greet each other nor seat with each other, nor talk like normal people do.
It was very brave of the actor of Wei Wuxian, who despite all the hate and death threats, he didn't give up. His fans supportted him and cheered for him, which led to his comeback. (You can also find it in youtube, he sang a song for his fans who support him for his comeback concert.....you can feel his emotions from the way he sang...it was heart touching).
