Here is my portfolio, and as yall can see, I have an amazing taste in hentai
: https://www.mangago.zone/home/mangalist/3056979/

i'm guessing it's based on how many people viewed it. i vaguely remember mangago having that feature where it counted how many had viewed something, but they removed it because korean bl authors were upset about how many people read their stuff on the site. also, mangago manipulated the votes to make it lower.

Its based on how many people interact with it, click on it, click on the chapter, comment, tag, rate, put in their lists, and such.
So why you see the worst mangas possible there is because some people are hate reading it. For example the one thats been on the main screen for weeks now where the guy is grabbing the girl by her pvssy. People click on it because they're like "wtf" and that drives it to the top. People comment under it, they click on chapters and boom, main screen.
Random question: how do the top stories in each category (like top fantasy, top josei...) on the homepage work? Because there are some that are apparently at the top but have a terrible rating AND very few readers interactions (few comments, few ratings).
So WHY would they even be in the homepage?
