There are no villains in this story. No red/blond homewrecker sent in to ruin the relationship. No psychopathic stalker to cause a misunderstanding. No past ex on either side that purposefully ruins their trust. Just life. Just insecurities and the fear of others being homophobic. Just a realistic representation of lack of communication due to the lack of social relationships! It was a smart idea to wait for it to pile up.
