I’m chiming into this convo I’m also happy to see some kind heartedness from jk towards dan. He really has developed a lot since S1 it’s just not in ways we want. I know the coach was QUAKING in his boots telling jk he dropped to 3rd place and jk just kinda took it s1 jk would flip the desk and throw a tantrum. He has grown a lot since s1 but now he need to grow romantically and emotionally with Dan
The way his eyes lightened up when he saw Dan… I loved that scene. He’s so madly in love he doesn’t even realize it himself.
He’s still a douchebag, don’t get me wrong, but maybe (and hopefully) we’ll see some progress from now on. This is the first chapter that is not the same vicious circle as the previous ones.
