That ring is literally the first proper gift he's given her I think.
The others I believe was a silk noose she used to take her own life, and books that reminded her of the despair of her pervious life.
In fact the silk noose wasn't given by him directly, it was more like a half assed order he did to one of his subordinates that wanted to give her a gift.
I remember, but I'm still giving him the credit for it since he caused her death in the first place.
