You didn't directly say "they forgot", but bringing up the throw of water and reminding that it's the same epsiode. One can piece together that it's indicated the readers "forgot".

As for the satisfaction, I see a lot of or perhaps a handful of backhanded comments. Where they see the progress but would add "NOW you show LITTLE progress?!" And whatnot.
If you believe nothing is wrong, then is wrong until said otherwise.
