Well doesn't Shounen AI translates to Boys love? I dont really think it is wrong to tag all BL be it smut, yaoi, etc... Shounen AI because that is exactly what it is. If its tagged just Shounen ai then it just shows affection between lovers and when tagged both Yaoi and Shounen ai then it's not wrong either. So why everyone insists that Shounen AI should not be tagged in a Yaoi, smut or mature tagged manga? It just doesnt make sense to me.
Just stating an opinion. Because it just doesnt make sense to me that a BL that has smut cannot be tagged as Shounen AI when it means Boys Love. It Doesn't mean non smut BL.
Its not wrong but shounen ai tend to be soft and mellow yaoi is explicit both are under boy's love because there is no english term for yaoi.
Boys love is more general.

In japanese they refer the genre as BL and nothing more. Yaoi is an outdated word that was used specifically in doujinshis (no meaning/plot but sex). I only see westerners using yaoi and shounen ai to difference BL with or without smut.
Bullshit all the bl Manhwa is all about sex nothing else
