This have become a normal trope in bl, and i absolutely hate it..
Dont get me wrong, i do agree mc and ml to be together, and as always they male ml to be a fucking manipulative type, bust still its fine untilllll... author make 2nd ml thats actually 100% much better then og ml!
The worst part is when the mc and that trash ml would be end game, and even i happy for mc but! I also feels so sorry for 2nd ml.
And this why i hate this kind of trope

tbh i have nothing against this trope but yea, there's just some authors and readers who like toxic lead than good lead bc fictional world is everyone's guilty pleasure even tho its frustrating at times.
also, authors understand that making the 2nd ml better than main ml lead to more engagement of the story, like from rage and comparisons for example ;v;
When can we get a normal author who make a hot bl without adding 2nd ml and ofc without any rape
they exist, but their stories gets overshadowed by toxic ones bc the latter is more popular and ig some readers just find fluff story with gentle green ml tame ╮(￣▽￣)╭
I mean a new one, its not easy to find it
just like fictional story readers, author's guilty pleasure is making fictional stories. the weirder, the better. thats why even tho 2nd ml is better and safer choice, but bc he's like that, he's the 2nd ml and not the main unfortunately xD
