About this chapter? So basically, that trash's mother wasn't keeping fl's mom in hospital her older brother was. Ml was contacted first by that trash's uncle, and later on by his mother. The uncle wanted to remove the mother son completely from the company and was hoping ml would help as backup as he already has a spy (I think everyone can guess by now who it was). He was thinking about whether he should do it or not when fl came back to his life. So now he had a personal motive too. As we all know the trash's mother isn't up to any good so the evidence provided by the spy was bad enough to get rid of her and he didn't require the fake shares thing that ml had provided as it would tarnish the company's name too. Mommy dearest believed she was 2 steps ahead of the game and placed her son as director after faking documents of having higher stocks than she really had by using the names of individuals her charity was sponsoring. It was, in short, fraudulent and quite literally could leave her in prison for years.
BUT. Brother, CEO extraordinaire, was MILES ahead of her and was just basically collecting evidence to put her in line. He didn't even use ML's documents of damning evidence coz he already had boatloads of arsenal to kill off whatever ambition the Mother ever had.
Brother gave her two choices. Prison or early retirement. He chose for her by firing his nephew (bastard 2nd ML) and by saying nothing about her crimes. If she pushed this, he wouldn't hesitate to sue her ass in court. He'd like to avoid that coz stock prices at the moment are at an all time high.
Add to that, bastard 2nd ML saying ML did it coz of him is delusional. Again, let me reiterate. CEO uncle already knew all the bullshit they were doing. Working with ML's company is merely a business move as it brings their companies together in good standing. The fact that CEO uncle didn't even use what evidence ML had is such a flex and quite scary tbh.

Btw, what I meant about the bastard thinking ML was doing all this coz of him isn't accurate. I mean he's not wrong yeah. ML jumped in coz our MC was being cornered and he didn't like that. What I meant was, his fall was in no way ML's fault. They were already down and out at the start with the uncle biding his time. ML just got willingly roped into it coz this is a romance genre

The spy was secretary. She worked like a dog for her but after the operation she delegated the important tasks to the other guy and still made her all the housekeeping(not literally) and dirty work. Even when the secretary said she was ready to handle all her tasks well she didn't give them back to her and maybe she didn't treat her that well in the hospital too if I remember correctly. So she felt betrayed and hence betrayed her in the end.
