I love this but also it's excessively harsh especially knowing that he's been manipulated by Yvonne and she seen that with her own eyes so I'm really on the fence about it Like do we have to be so cruel?? I'm hoping that this gets him to calm the fuck down It just hurts a little to see because he's probably my favorite out of the original cast before they changed

He wasn't tho? Her magic didn't work on him, he chose to do it cause he got all obsessed with our Darling, so don't excuse his actions. He got all obsessive on his own. He takes responsibility for what he's done, even the marques changed and her pink haired brother didn't get manipulated either, neither did the dad, Eclis too thought he could use Yvonne to bring her down, so she'd run away with him as a fugitive and he sacrificed his own people. He turned bad, by himself and his own choices.

But it did work to a degree WDYM?? It works on all of them up to a point she was aggravated because it didn't work exactly how she wanted it to but it still worked. He didn't make all the choices on his own he was manipulated into them. His obsession with Penelope is his own thing tho. Ntm she used the mirror shard on him multiple times while he was away from Penelope it's not hard to believe that the constant brainwashing made him worse

The thing is Penelope herself isn't a saint. She's not perfect, and she's pretty immoral at times too (consider how she was literally using Eclis the entire time she literally never loved him, she just wanted to leave the game. Not to mention how he was LITERALLY HER SLAVE and how she used that to her advantage instead of idk making the moral choice of not participating in slavery?!) but at the end of the day we for to understand her and her anyone because of how desperately she wants to leave the game

Wow that last sentence got fucked up but I meant "but at the end of the day we understand her actions because of how desperately she wants to leave the game"

For two seconds and then it broke, didn't you see how he choked her? Her spell broke right away even she was surprised, pinky bro also the spell broke right away, her shard isn't complete, he's done a terrible thing to her and all the poor people who trusted him, Eclis must pay.
Event the marquis who is close to Yvonne more than Penelope, even he didn't do it, so yeah Eclis has messed really badly, especially for someone whos so strong, he gave away his chance of healing his tribe and just running away normally with her just to break her. Obsession is bad. We see your point, it stands that even now he still is violent and he isn't being driven by any power, oh and it didn't work on Callisto either.

She wants to live, who wouldn't do that when she is literally trapped and everywhere are potential enemies, they can all hate her all of a sudden and k*** her since the normal route started, so yeah she's desperate, what do you mean she's not a Saint? So you want her to just take the abuse and accept her fate?? Of course she'll fight to survive, if anything she had been way too good to her abusers this whole time, good for her now fighting dirty too just like they did with her, Eclis has committed the ultimate betrayal of trust, he basically is trying to manipulate Penelope, into believing he's the only one for her, and she only went to him cause she believed he truly loved her too, of course she can't have the leisure to fall in love while she's literally in survival mode duh.
I forget sometimes that yall actually have led really nice lives where you have never been abused and you don't know how it easy when someone beats you black and blue, you bleed, and when they choke you as a child, or how it feels to fear to even sleep cause they might try to k*** you at any time, good for you I guess, but hey Penelope is a child of abuse, this is survival, and she'll live and thrive even, good for her!

Girl what r u on I was defending her I'm just saying her actions by itself are not defensible sometimes (keyword: SOMETIMES) but we understand her actions because we've seen her suffering and how desperately she wants to leave the game

Unless somehow u think slavery is defensible if you're a victim of abuse, in which case idk man I don't think we can have a conversation if that's the POV you're coming from, that's a morally indefensible position to me

This is so odd of you to defend her actions like this. And to try and downplay others abuse as if this character is real? She's not great, and she was manipulating him(or trying to) anyway to get him to love her so she could leave, and it backfired on her, badly. She's not meant to be a good or bad person she's just doing what she can to survive. I love her character, some of the most realistic writing I've seen. But regardless she's done a lot of bad stuff too

THISS she's an immorally gray character I can see why she does everything she does but at the same time, it's still wrong. She was treating him like he was just a character and expecting him to fall but barely give him any time and shower him with gifts. She honestly did such a bad job too barely met the guy and just gave him gifts, me personally I'd be spending so much time with him to GTFO of there. He was her main gateway out (until he wasn't obviously) and she spent so little time with him which I still don't understand

I think she did spend a lot of time w him, I think it backfired because she was relying on the "kind master"-slave dynamic too much which in turn left to Eclis trying to break that so they can have a more "equal" setting (by having her leave the family). If u think of other master-slave romances (not manhwa) it kind of relies on the master giving up the position of power over the slave. I think she didn't think of that happening at all because she expected it to fulfill to 100% before it ever reaching that stage.
