Tbh, his whole personality is a little contradictory because in the earlier chapters, he is self aware but because of the plot or whatever they're making him look clueless & dumb.
No no, they're not making him look clueless and dumb, he knows EXACTLY why Kyuho isn't replying to him as often as the rando, but they're making him not care about the real and substantial reason because it clashes with HIS wants, especially now that he's entered Kyuho withdrawal. He wants more Kyuho, he was initially in a more rational state of mind and told himself he'd just wait it out, now he's finding out he can't wait it out, and he also can't cope with the things that accompany Kyuho losing feelings. He doesn't want to be sidelined, ignored, become less important to Kyuho and pushed out of Kyuho's mind.
