I love Dr.Seok and it’s not wrong of him to investigate but if he keeps doing it and even writing it down then he’s really going to die. It’s not that Major loves the government and doesn’t want him to rebel cause Major knows the government is full of shit but because he knows the government AND the garden of Eden is full of shit that’s why he’s stopping him
TRUE ! i think it’s hard for him to say it in a way Dr. Seok understands because if he admits he’s distrustful of the Government, they can get rid of him. so he’s trying to protect him by telling him to stay out of it, not because he LIKES the government, but because he knows both parties are full of crap and will not hesitate to hurt Dr. Seok. this is genuinely one of the only times i can understand the miscommunication because he LEGIT cannot say what he wants to lol
I am not necessarily blaming major Kwak i know he loves and cares for dr Seok but we cannot deny major Kwak is also benefitting from the system he symbolises the police officers belonging to oppressive government who crush down protestors because they dare to question the system instead of blindly believing it in today's terms he would be like a right wing enforcement

i get what you mean, but he’s not really a lap dog? like he definitely can come off as one, but he secretly resents them. he’s just doing what he has to to survive. usually, i’m all for anarchy in these types of stories but i think it’s interesting to see a character that’s in a position where the smartest thing to do is stay complacent until they have the opportunity to strike. not saying that i would do what he’s doing or even 100% agree, but i understand him
To all those people who were cursing dr Seok for going against the government needs to understand he is not a complacent little doll doing whatevers been told to him he is a genius and a man of science not the usual doormat uke with 0 back bone he thinks for himself and believes the government is not working for the good of the people and is instead taking advantage of the poor civilians which is a conclusion he came to after the overwhelming evidence just cuz major Kwak doesn't wants him to rebel doesn't mean he is going to give up
