Everyone is so used to female isekai characters immediately becoming geniuses after the reincarnation bet in reality their trauma and thoughts of previous life and their experiences are still there.
This might be a stretch but imo (aside from 1st timeline) she touches the realm of people’s moral ambiguity and displaying the circle of self awareness > redemption > going back to toxic habits. I had that thought bc of her inner monologue: intense self criticism then going back to old habits as a mother. We all have those kinds of thoughts while actively improving ourselves. Ig my point is that shes too realistic to not like or love because she reflects people lol (again, probably a stretch) (●￣(ｴ)￣●)
I feel like if anything the mom should be hated for the fact that she literally sends her explorer to steal southern materials and bring them north, ruining the southern kingdom's economy, and then has the nerve to call them rats and be upset that they want to hurt her family.
Everyone keeps crying for complicated female characters this and that but cannot even handle the mother because IMAGINE your daughter is literally destined to be put in many more risky situations due to her magical powers wouldn't u don't want your child to suffer in the hands of fate and villains ?? Ofcourse she would want to lock up her precious child but that is just a thought and not an action. That's the complexity of a mother in general. There's no getting "better" at parenthood. It's a learning process
