His thoughts are normal since he likes the guy. Didn’t he run away bcs he can’t cope up with ML marrying? Has he even once told ML he likes him after ML engaged?

Even when the fiancé confronted MC, he didn’t admitted because he too don’t want to be the reason ML’s engagement ended. Technically he is the reason but that’s bcs ms fiancé told ML. Note that the reason the engagement fall is bcs Gisela asked ML not to meet MC anymore. Not that Gisela told ML that MC likes him.
