I actually feel bad for Eklis. Yes, he f up big time and he is the reason this Yvone arc but it wouldn't have happen if Penelope wasn't using him and toying with him just to throw him away the moment he became to much and didn't give her what she wanted. She knew how he is, what kind of life he had and what he lost and she used it to control him and make him do and feel how she wanted. Crushing him by blaming him for her suicide attempt is too much. She should have just told him that she used him the whole time and doesn't need him anymore so he could hate her and go on with his life. Maybe even plan revenge. Who know, maybe he would have decided to kill her and then she would get what she wanted- death and escape from the game
