Eclis is not the person you guys make him out to be

A lot of people are sure quick to point the finger at Eclis and say oh but he knew what he was doing the whole time. He could've left, but he chose to stay. Yes, he did stay. However, we're forgetting a important fact that he was slave, and had his whole kingdom obliterated? Of course he wanted revenge in some way and was hanging onto any string that dangled in front of him. I don't blame him for trying to manipulate Penelope. He has a valid reason, and brother he's 17... imagine being that young and having everything taken away from you. While on top of that even if he did leave (earlier in the story before he was given commoner status and not entirely mind fucked let's say he did leave.. he would most likely end up a slave again.) I feel like you guys should give him more grace for someone who was being manipulated by both Penelope and Ivonne, but that's just me.
