They're both a victim, it's Laila's fault and the game system's fault. Penelope and Eclis has one similarity, they both wants to survive. At first Eclis wants to survive when Penelope bought him and ran away from the dukedom to avenge his kingdom, but then as time past, Eclis became obsessed with Penelope because of the constant manipulation from Penelope of course that's for surviving the damned world where any wrong movement you can die from MEN. At this point Penelope would choose a bear instead of a man. So, they're both the victim here, I get why ppl hate Eclis, but they also need to understand he's a victim like Penelope

Exactly!!!!! Thank you, you know exactly what I mean! Personally I think there is way too much hate on Eclis. He definitely made mistakes and did Penelope dirty but this guy also went through so much that it’d be weird if he didn’t go some kind of crazy. And here’s the thing, so many people let the prince off the hook after he became nicer and his backstory came out but he almost killed Penelope and threatened her many times. I’m not saying I don’t like him (cause I do since he grew on me) but there is a clear difference in hate between the two characters. They both had bad pasts and hurt our mc (granted the prince is being way better currently while Eclis is on a downward spiral) so I’d say they are victims to their environment and are doing or did what they know which is violence and manipulation. So I can’t say that I hate Eclis (or the prince) I just feel bad for him despite his wrongdoings. (Sorry my brain isn’t braining so I forgot the princes name while writing this) Sorry this is so long. I just had to rant ╥﹏╥

Real Yvonne was also a victim, she was just an innocent little girl, but she got killed by Laila ☹ poor baby.. Idk about Winter tho, I can't justify his actions for making Penelope soul crack because he keeps on turning back the time for Penelope when she died

I’m glad that Penelope did that but I also feel bad for Eclis. Like his kingdom was ruined and he got enslaved. Then got manipulated by Penelope so that he’d be devoted to her. She hard core strung him along. (Though she did it to live and get out of the game so #justified) then he tries to get her to run away with him because he knows she deserves better. She crashes out and he freaks out because of his attachment issues with her and figures the only way for him to be with her now is if she’s on the same level as him so brings in Ms. Imposter bitch. Then he is manipulated by the bitch I think even with the mirror and is thrown away by the women he worships and when she almost dies she blames him. Like I get it he was terrible to her but he went through a ton and that influenced him a lot. I’m not saying he’s not part of the problem but he also is a victim too. Though like I said Penelope was justified in how she reacted.
