You also forgot the fact that Callisto respects her wants and choices and tries to do what’s best for her. Every single thing Eclis did was out of selfishness with no consideration for Penelope, even more so, he actually tried to hurt her. He didn’t care about what she wanted, even tho he calls her master he has no regard for her choices for herself, he wanted to isolate her to have her for himself. The only thing they have in common is obsession to a certain extent, but their actions, respect for Penelope, approach to her and actions… Sorry, but I completely disagree. They are very different. I don’t love Callisto either and wish she just stayed single, but you can’t compare him to someone who quite literally signed on her demise

Eclipse is just like Callisto with their mindset. The only difference is the efforts. Callisto wants to make penelope the empress so no one could touch her, not making anyone her enemy and wanting to deal with her enemy, so does Eclis but he doesn't have the power to do so since hes a former slave, so he stuck on trying to blame shit on Penelope so she gives up on everything and they'd elope together but Penelope's give up is on another level. Not escaping the dukedome but escaping everything about the game which is by dying.
