I'm sorry but I can't with this one. I got to chapter 4 and despite what the comments are saying, I'm cringing so hard.
Everyone has been hard on the sub in the story so far but it's the dom who hasn't been communicating. The sub set hard limits, which he advisers broke. This led to them realizing that hey, maybe he does want to be pampered. But the dom has never once expressed his desires to the sub before he tries to go to the bar and gets told off. As far as the sub is concerned, this is a relationship that can end at any time. He has zero knowledge of his feelings and has been given no indication that he's serious.
"Oh he should be able to figure it out from context clues!" What context clues? Being pampered and spoiled? That's literally the role of a dom to a sub. Him being sweet? He's typically sweet as a lead up to sex. The story has shown us, the reader, how the dom feels but has done jack all to show that the sub would be aware. And yet he's the one who gets flack. And everyone is concerned about the dom's health but the sub has only barely gotten back to his own health. I would have more sympathy for the dom if the sub wasn't painted as being solely in the wrong. This is pure miscommunication but it's not being treated as that and that passes me off.
I'm going to TRY rereading that ending again and moving onto chapter 5 but I'm so frustrated.
