Me too so let's summarize:
So if I understand this correctly, ML is originally from the book while MC is from reality.
ML died in book then realize he come to the reality and realize his life with MC(book) is just a fiction.
MC(real) sleep while reading the book and got sucked in where he experience the events in the book.
Now, since MC is originally from reality, means he don't have the trauma and bad experience that MC(book) experienced. So that's why he can drift from the original storyline.
ML on the other hand, came back inside the book. (Now, this is just a theory so it may not be canon but still a possibility. I think since ML got to the reality by getting killed and dying inside the book. It may work the other way around,means he maybe killed himself so he can go back inside the book again since he technically planned for this since he give the book to MC(real) on chapter 1 but idk lol) and decide to settle to be more gentle and understanding towards the MC(real) since he's the one who get MC(real) inside the book. Now he can't just act gentle and understanding in a snap of a fingers since in this story, ML has a lot of enemies.
Then story progress and continue to drift from the original storyline LOL.
Anyways, there is some scenes in the book that MC is noticing to be in parallel to the reality. Like the drawing of his mom and sisters from the reality and the drawing about the teddy bear (which is suppose to show in the future of the storyline, not the present). So I think MC(book) use to dream of MC(real), like what MC(real) is doing with hypnosis. Like looking into the subconscious of his self that makes him aware that there is somewhere out there where he is living happily and got to know about the content of the book through MC(real).
Now on the present, the author is showing us how all of this clues are connected. So this is the end of my summarization (?) lol

i saw a huge spoiler a while ago so im just gonna summarize. Basically MC’s memorys of everything comes from the book (drawing book) that he made. ML was the one who brought MC back to silence by giving him the silence book to read. He did this because in the happy book MC wrote, they couldn’t be anything more than friends. MC doesn’t come from the “real world”. When he travels into silence, he is going back to his OG universe aka the real world.
