Kinda his fault for not accepting being carried by his previous heroes. They could've grown stronger still. His choice glorified struggle, now he's enraged about Yvolka's death.
I agree and i think he knows that too now! I think it's also why his rage is portrayed so well, cause it seems like he's angry at the choices that he made for them, which is also probably why he's doing all of this by himself, sort of a punishment-feel killing spree if that makes sense

I agree, I like his character flaw tho, it shows growth or a chance for it anyway. Yvolka will always be in all our hearts.
