I like dark and deep themes; they enrich and make for an enjoyable read. But they should have some sort of conclusion. It could be how to overcome grief over the loss of a loved one or something important, being a victim of SA and how that impacted their life and what their journey from trauma to something close to healing is like, having (like Yuri) a somewhat dysfunctional family dynamic, attachment issues, stress and anxiety; all of that, but also show us his process of overcoming that little by little. And it was showed. But it was also one hell of a nightmare after another, lol, it felt so real at times, so depressing.
He dragged the teacher down with him, even though he knew how the teacher felt. He was stubborn and persistent, toxic. And that's how it continues to this day, except for some things that changed, but out of fear of losing him and sometimes to punish him. But teach had his heavy bag with him and he was an enabler too.
It's a great story, but it's very intense, and if these kinds of themes sound familiar to you, it's best to avoid them. Unless you're in the mood for feeling sad and anxious, and those feelings are going to be with you till the end because this leads to nowhere. Just the portrait of people heavily damaged, that stay damaged. There's no healing, no closure. It's not a bad thing, as I said, it's real and a great portrayal of them. But for those who are sensitive to these themes or like them but are looking for something different, this could leave them feeling unsatisfied.
