It was already confirmed in the manhwa that Huimin has a type of DID in which his new personality are the “dreams and hallucinations” you described. He finally noticed it himself in ch 53. The speculation of Iheon being a time traveler was just confirmed in ch 54. You almost cooked… kinda reheated the food lmao

Ilheon isn't a time traveller, he isekaied between the book world and the real world. And I dont think Huimin has DID, I think he's from the real world, isekaied into the book and the "memories" he repressed are the parts of the story that Ilheon has tried to change so that they have a better story.

My bad, time traveler wasn’t the best word to describe Iheon’s situation. Dude died and appeared back in time to his high school years, but still remembered everything that happened in his “past life” which he then realized it was all written in “Silence”. It’s mentioned that Huimin killed himself in the book, and most likely he made it back as well in this same “dimension”, but since he was so out of it in his last few moments and full of desire to get a better life, those memories were hidden inside his mind. If you think about it, everything about Huimin’s past is blurry or just mentioned, not shown (we never see his sisters or mom, we see a blurry woman in chapter 1 or 2 but that might’ve been anyone) and when he realized he was in “Silence” (which he’s kinda in but Iheon is trying to avoid the same events) he thinks he’s 21, when in fact he’s already 30. You can tell both dimensions are kinda merged in some ways, and that’s when Huimin starts going to therapy and starts remembering everything in first person, realizing he’s the same Huimin, confirming it by the drawings he found inside Iheon’s safe.
Idk how else to explain it cuz it makes sense to me but idk if I’m explaining myself properly lmao english is my second language after all.

Ok this is the first response to everything I've read so far that actually makes sense. So Huimin isekaied or rather regressed first then Ilheon followed, so ultimately they're in a loop and due to paradox theory one cannot exist at the same time as the other, that's why his memories collide with his reality.
What I dont get is the book. Why is there a book then? Who wrote it and why is Ilheon aware that he can rewrite the story?
apparently the og world huimin thought the "real world" him and iheon are just hallucinations and dreams where he wishes he actually has a family, and where he and iheon could just stay friends and he actually woke up in "silenced" but he was just dreaming the whole time lol
