But then why didn't he ignore Heonjae after finding out that he cut off someone's limbs. It's also common sense to not be around someone that cuts off people's limbs. It's sad seeing him ignore Jingi but favor Heonjae, like if they're both trash then give them both the same energy. We all recognize that he's either going to end up with one of them or neither of them so some of us like Jingi over Heonjae or Heonjae over Jingi even though we all know they're both terrible.

Heonjae basically never hurts the MC? Are you kidding me? Heonjae is Jingi's right hand man. Whatever Jingi does Heonjae is right there ready to hold Myeong-IL down and either watch it or participate. Heonjae doesn't willingly hold back, Jingi forces him to hold back. In chapters 21 and 22 when Heonjae and Myeonggi are having sex for the first time he tells Heonjae not to go too hard or to slow down while doing certain positions. If he cares about his feelings he would have listened to him. In ch 24 when Myeonggi was reading about their crimes Heonjae was doing everything Jingi was doing. In ch 28 Jingi had to tell Heonjae to stop trying to fuck Myeonggi because Myeonggi was trying to avoid him. Another instance of Heonjae not actually caring about him but obsessing over him and Jingi having to force him to hold back. In ch 40 when Myeonggi is sick Heonjae gestures at Jingi so they can fuck him but even Jingi is like no not tonight. Heonjae is basically a ticking time bomb that Jingi is barely able to control. Heonjae's affection borderlines obsession. If you don't like Jingi that's fine but let's not act like Heonjae is this caring and loving person.

From the mcs perspective, heonjae is way better. Even if he did all of that before, from the MCs perspective he's changed a lot and heonjae is one of his first companions in the prison. He sits and obeys, and I doubt he'd really care who's influence it is as we all know he's booking it the second he's released, so he's sticking with the person that he knows he can control or is under control while in the prison. Your argument is completely valid and very much true, it's just lwk missing the MCs pov, which is what I'm talking about. If you were in his situation would you hide behind? Heonjae who's under control, temporary or not, and likes you enough to follow you everywhere and do what you ask with the only downside being he's not under YOUR control? Or jingi, who acts violent on purpose, does whatever he wants and is so complex that appeasing him is guaranteed to go awry, and quite frankly seems to be under no ones control? Heonjae is the obvious choice. I'm not saying either of them are good, I'm saying that from a survival stand point avoiding jingi is absolutely the way to go. All these points were made without considering their inner monologues, solely out of what I think the MC knows, so in an argument of who's a better person yes jingi would win but in this scenario with all I've said considered heonjae is just way easier to handle
now why would u ignore my jingi
