yes, Tristan is the one that falls first. Although Tristan is unable to tell if he feels sympathy, guilty, responsible, or affection for Eden, he starts to uncharacteristically care for him. Even Tristan doesn't know or doesn't want to dig deeper into why he cares so much about Eden. But it is because he goes out of his way to care for Eden and being super considerate that Eden later falls for Tristan.
For example, Tristan made it his number 1 rule to not allowed outsiders into the castle. He doesn't want to have anyone possibly leak his location. However, when he finds out Eden wants to play the piano, he not only goes out to the TOWN to help retrieve the piano, he hires a tuner to come to the castle and fix the piano for Eden. There are multiple instances where Tristan makes tons of exceptions for Eden. In fact, he later asks Eden to move in with him at the castle, but it's Eden that declines.
