Bc by this point Eden is deeply in love with Tristan. He didn't remove Tristan's name bc he doesn't love him. He removed it so that he's not tied down to him. With Tristan's name on him, his schedule, concerts, performances and where he can go is dependent on Tristan. Tristan has to go with him if it's anywhere not in London. So Eden thought it would benefit the both of them if he removed the burden of the name. That way, Eden can travel when need be and Tristan can stay home. So the two of them "broke up" not bc Eden wanted to. However, the public discovered their relationship, leading to crazed gossip - in addition to Tristan's court battle with his father- Eden didn't think it was a good idea to get back together. It is only after Tristan won his court case and everything settled, did Eden then go in search of Tristan. But by then, Tristan completely pulled away from society. Eden had no clue where or how to find him. He also thought Tristan didn't want him anymore. But when Eden found out Tristan deeded him the castle did Eden gain the courage to find him. He wants to see him one last time to confirm if Tristan still has feelings for him. If he does, then Eden won't let go a second time.
Why are writer/authors so obsessed with pathetic ukes that are treated like a dirt-bag and have the mental fortitude and self respect of a used rag. I can't even feel bad for them.
