Mixed Feelings

Welp I was having so many mixed feelings about this one, so I was curious to see the comments… and I see there’s a bit of um contention.

My issue, like many, is just that the MC is so fragile, and the ML is so sexually rough with him that it’s like whoa - this would be pushing it consent wise even if he WASN’T sickly! The only apparent excuse is just he got carried away… :/

So here’s the thing, I wanna talk about the lack of self-control because it’s related in my mind to the Mpreg.

In stuff like omegaverse, they sometimes have the SUPERNATURAL excuse of losing their minds to fucking bc of fictional biology, right? IRL, people are responsible for their actions — there is no aphrodisiac, no currently existing product or natural biology, that actually invokes an irresistible fuck-or-die impulse. What happens in real life is that people commit sex crimes, and try to use systemic misogyny to justify it with claims that it’s simply ‘natural’ for a man to lose control. Absolutely no one IRL is absolved from non consensual sex bc they ‘couldn’t help it’ — you always can, period.

Now, Mpreg.

No need to freak out at each other, guys… there’s a little bit of truth in what everyone’s saying. IRL, yes there are intersex people with indistinguishable or unusual genitalia. Intersex does NOT mean two completely whole and functioning sets of reproductive organs - it means there are organs or secondary features usually attributed to only one gender. Generally in these cases they are not fertile, regardless of whatever sex organ is in present.

Fictional settings like omegaverse usually provide a whole new supernatural biology that involves two fully functioning sets of sex organs. It is NOT intersex; it is a fictional biological phenomenon.

The Mpreg stories that AREN’T omegaverse still usually do the same thing - the biology is made up. I am NOT trying to erase the existence of intersexuality!! What I am saying is that, while maybe loosely INSPIRED BY real biology, at this time there is no KNOWN human biology that actually works like this. Not two fully functioning sets of genitalia, not a fertile womb with also an ejaculate-capable penis, not this SPECIFIC biological layout used in most Mpreg.

So for this story, I categorize the real-world implications of Mpreg in the same place I put ‘losing control’ in bed - the ‘don’t think too hard’ folder! IRL, it just doesn’t work like that, whether it’s physical biology or just human psychology (the myth of ‘losing control’ is a rape excuse IRL, but in fiction I do get how it’s seen as sexy lol).

Just, like. Relax. Lol.

nah, he's just horny for the mc, no losing control for biological reasons

A little thing I wanted to add that there is a biological phenomenon IRL where male species can get pregnant, this isn't applicable to a large majority of mammals including humans however, these species are called hermaphrodite and are mostly found in sea creatures, insects, and reptiles! Usually these creatures are able to switch their sex or have 2 working genitalia so to me mpreg was never confusing with that existing knowledge

I'm an avid mpreg fanatic so imagine my surprise and confusion and everyone else's confusion, I forgot not everyone is experienced with mpreg and still try to use human logic of fiction

lol, i have no idea why they still try thinking human logic in fiction, its fiction, its not real. im pretty sure no male mammal can get pregnant tho?
