And the reason the position was even offered up to Mabel in the first place was to stop her from being kidnapped by a neighboring country. Oscar understands this and also wants to protect Mabel, while also saying how he DOESNT want to be Emperor and is more suited to be a knight.
We are talking about a 6 yo child. If we don't make children vote, it's for a reason.
