If you read the earlier chapters, you can sense that.

The early chapters were in the present time tho. It's too early to say that he's attracted to the young yeongwoon. But in the present, he clearly has feelings for him but doesn't aware yet.
He is the 2nd ML. The author confirmed that tho and even said that he will play a pivotal role.
