It seems the author and the artist (of the webtoon) just got tired or fed up with this and gave up. There's no other explanation for the way the last few chapters have been done after a break. It was rushed, nothing was finalised, and the art also took a hit it seems.
I guess I will finish reading the novel after taking abbreak mid-through (thinking I wouldn't read the webtoon if I finshed it). （￣へ￣）
