So when Andrew was young, his father got popular as a politician through a family-raising TV show. The directors of that show were Derrick's parents, who are famous. So Andrew visited the Taylors' house often to film the show, and overall people would compare the two because Andrew was a polite and mature kid while Derrick seemed starved for attention. Once, Derrick broke one of the toy plane props they were using for the show and he felt angry that people kept whispering about how different they are.
So he's always hated Andrew, and overall he hates Luke just cuz he's a star and a bad bitch jk but like he's just overall foul to the entire team. So when he found out Andrew and Luke were acquainted that one day when AndyLuke rode in Mrs. Taylor's car, that's when shit hit the fan and the next day he tried to include the scene of Andrew confronting his stalker (Mercy) with a toy gun into the play.
