The main character was reincarnated from the real world as the heir to the throne, and was a very hard working and diligent emperor. During his time as the crown prince he met the ML as a child and was kind to him, spending time and giving treats and presents to him. The ML was kidnapped by the maygo cult and the main character never saw him again until the ML was tricked into assassinating him. After the assassination the ML went on a rampage and killed all the blood cult members before committing suicide where in he wished to go back in time. Time reversed and both the Main character and Main love interest kept their memories. It's very very heavily implied that the Main characters chronic illness that's slowly killing him was caused by his soul being shattered by the ML killing him with his sword. As of the current chapter, the main character is getting more and more sick, and knows that he'll die soon. He's trying to distance from everyone in order to lessen the impact of his death, while the love interest has one sided romantic love and has a plot to give up his life in exchange for the MC if the MC dies.
