Every time I read delinquent manga involving high school/college students, there’s almost always no police involvement. I understand Yakuza, but heck this is bullying. Does this somehow reflect an aspect of Japanese (or even Korean) culture? I do know that bullying is rampant in both countries, but seriously, why the lack of police intervention even in the form of entertainment?
Or maybe it’s just a plot device, like when a guy see a stranger (guy) on a street passed out and instead of calling the police, they bring the stranger to their home instead? So instead of calling the police to resolve it quickly, they drag it instead for the plot.
