I don’t think that’s an accurate assessment as far as their pairing being based off OG Rose and Ricardis. OG Rose was strictly his knight, nothing more, nothing less. There wasn’t even a hint of romance there. What Rosalyn and Ricardis have is their own. He wouldn’t love her if she wasn’t who she is inside. And Rosalyn has another option as far as suitors go anyway, plus I think part of the idea here is for her to understand what being human is like so having someone specific she ends up with makes more sense than an open ending.
Ricardis is too flawed as a person to end up with someone as brilliant as Rosalyn, I said what I said (づ￣ ³￣)づ their whole pairing is based off a promise between og rose and I feel like the author should've given her a wider range of potential suitors, something like an open ending tbh
