i wonder how it will go because it looks like mc has a bit of a psychotic streak herself (probably lesser tho) so i'm kind of hoping this turns into psycho x psycho
I didn't interpret her extreme reactions as a psychopathic streak but more like the panic and desperation of a burned out and depressed individual. But she is definitely malleable in her emotional vulnerability, which truly makes her a prime target for ml. People with antisocial tendencies like him tend to choose targets like her, although in his case, it seems like he chose her due to some sort of aesthetic perception (her form as she stood in the rain), just like how he chose his other objects.
i was thinking about her dream in chapter 1 that could have been a flashback. the recent chapter shows him crushing the caterpillar with a rock but her dream in c1 shows her crushing the mantis that's trying to eat the caterpillar with a rock, as well. they both have similar facial expressions. so it feels like foreshadowing that she's either also got a crazy streak or that she'll kill the predator -him-.
Oh i didn't remember her dream on chapter one. Regardless, i think it's more likely for the second thing you mentioned to happen. She doesn't seem to be an antisocial person. Unstable very likely. Hope we get to see her stand up to him, it'd be refreshing!
On chapter two we are momentarily shown the fountain pen (before we even get the explanation of how he obtained it) and right after we witness him gazing at mc. This is a very clear indication that he sees her as an object he wants to own. Watch him crash her enemies and loved ones (that don't return her affection apparently) equally, just for the sake of making her his possession. As i predict it, he won't even give a fuck about her career, if anything he'll find her aimless state preferable, since he'll be able to completely control her. I wouldn't call him a yandere, just a full blown psychopath, a collector.
