Currently I’m 18, a BL fanatic and gamer(sometimes). I have heavily decided to go into the health-field because it’s a extremely safe career and as a bonus I get to help people. However I’m definitely being heavily influenced by my Asian parents so I wanna ask you guys what you guys decided to do going into collage? And why or how you decided to go into that?

Tbh, I think I kinda feel lost or hesitant on everything I do because I think I’m scared to make regrets. The future is so uncertain I wonder thing like if I’m good enough or what if I get burnt out or even come to actually dislike what I’m pursuing.

taking a gap year, i had so many interests growing up — law, psychology, art, writing, music, history. all of them dwindled. i thought smth was wrong with me. but now that ive really sat back i realized that i should pick a degree that won’t stress me out.

hi I'm almost 28 so 10 years older and i work in health care (hospital pharmacist) it was a decision i was deluded into thinking i made because of my parents and society as well but anyway, from my experience with life so far it's very difficult to continue doing something THAT stressful (aka a healthcare related job) if you don't like it and are already passionate about it. like yeah u get paid more than average and it's "secure" to a degree but you gotta put into consideration that it's not easy even after graduating university you still have so much growth to do academically, mentally and even financially to be able to keep it up in such a competitive environment. on the other hand my big brother is a cardiologist and he surprisingly likes it (though he still loathes the stress and suffers from it too) you still have shitton of time to think and consider all your options don't freak out. just know that health care has so many opportunities but also immense stress and weigh it out whether you'd be able to do that or not on the personal level. it's a big decision so try to decide for yourself and good luck!!<3
oh btw if money is your end goal then i think there are many jobs today that pay even better with less stress involved so I'd advise u do your reseaech first depending on your interests (what u can do) & what the market is demanding and aligns with your long term goals

I’m 19 and I’m a communications major because I love media lol. There’s a lot of things I can do with communications so that’s why I chose it I guess but I’m having fun and the classes are definitely easy. (▰˘◡˘▰)
