And he would be doing it simply because he wants his friend to be happy. Doyoon saying it to the main character now is only for his own benefit and nothing else, he’s just being selfish. On top of all that, him being in a bad mood and taking it out on his friends is an overall shitty thing to do. If he likes his crush so damn much, he should be able to talk to him regardless. Using your friend’s relationship as a way to get closer to your crush is a shitty thing to do as well.
completely agree, even the way he was yelling at the guy when he was talking about his break up, like he was aware he had a hot girlfriend and they just started dating, it’s okay to be curious or even jealous, and she broke up with him that’s not rlly his fault and i don’t get why he was so angry??? he seems selfish and just annoying

Like honey no that is a toxic friend, with all those harsh words you are going to end up thinking you are dumb/not good enough. I’m sorry but all the ppl in the comments saying Doyoon is a good friend are driving me insane. Yes most of the things he said was true and it is something the MC needed to hear but he didn’t say all of that to him because he cares about him. He only said it because the main couple not being together prevents him from having a reason to be around his crush. If he didn’t have the crush on the friend he wouldn’t give two shits what about what goes on in the main couples relationship. If Doyoon was a REAL friend he would’ve said all those things to him for one in a nicer manner ( and yes you can be honest with your friends without being a jerk)
