The thing is that MC didn’t actually confront the ML about the ex, he asked and received a “not a big deal” kind of answer and kept the discomfort to himself. That night they didn’t fuck cause ML parents called and the next time they did it was when MC brought him home to have sex to feel “secure” cause he was already thinking ML was cheating on him.
Like communicating also means telling your partner to be more upfront if you don’t like his answers.
