Its bc both parents had the power to stop this cycle from going on this long and bringing in that innocent child into all this sh!t. If the mother had let go when she realized all he wanted from her was money instead of wanting to make him miserable by tying him down with a child that isn't his and making sure he knows that in the future to break him, it would be different. If the father had left when he realized she did not love him but was just keeping him around for the heck of it, it would not be this bad. They both were miserable with eo and then decided to both make this child miserable too. You can't blame the kid much bc he grew up with all this manipulation going on around him, this is all he knows about relationships.
I agree mostly but the parents were in very different situations, the mother was extremely well of and the dad was in a very bad financial situation and his career and therefore income also depended on his wife.letting an innocent child suffer because of this is really cruel, but the child is still a rapist and that could never be excused, not even with a bad childhood (especially cause he wasn't physically or sexually abused by them, which would make taking revenge valid in my opinion, but he was "just" neglected, terrible for a child but not an excuse for what he did to his dad)

Even tho I feel really sorry for the son I don't get why people don't feel sorry for the dad, if the roles were reversed and a wife was forced to quit her job, treated like a pos and then raped by her husband everyone would feel sorry, but since it's a man people wish him death ??? He might be a bad person but he doesn't deserve what happened to him
