You cant really blame him either. Its really hard even for a real person to remember someone after havig ZERO contact for 10 YEARS. He barely remembers what he looks like. Annyone would have been snapped after being lied, ridiculed and manipulated so much. This is a completely different time with lots of poverty and desperate needs. He should have beaten up more people who actually lied alot earlier so they wouldnt make fun of him. When alot of people only care about your money and not actually about what you feel idk i probably would have done the same thing why should i care about people who only want my money. If he wasn’t lied to so much, he would still have hope and have given him a chance. Not saying he was right but i would have forgiven him, if he regognized him he wouldnt have done it and thats what really matters to me and theres just no way i could blame someone for forgetting a face 10 years ago.
i mean if it were up to me, I wouldn’t feel good if my supposed partner was WILLING to beat common people up, irregardless of the fact that they weren’t me. in fact, it’d make me feel worse at the realization that my partner’s sympathy/goodwill ONLY extends to me, not to the common people whose situations are worse than my partner’s and got tempted into impersonation because their environmental/living conditions weren’t easy. uke also realized that fact when he got mistaken as a fraud and was beaten himself that they weren’t meant to be, both due to the gap in social status and wealth. also that man HAD reasons to believe uke cause he had proof he rushed into that BE himself just he let his pent up frustrations get the best of him & crashed out and the person who happened to take the brunt of his was the real person
But its not like me ment to you are right tho i would be dissapointed too but i would also understand. I think he does care about his people just not about bad people and people who lie straight to his face. Its not like the commoners were innocent lol they literally wanted to steal his money and manipulate him.
The only think i’m actually mad about is he beat up the actual guy he was looking for everone else deserved to be beatenand should be locked up for theft.
there was just NO way that they were ever going to get together after that fuck ass blunder (aka using one’s higher status to beat up a man to a point of near death, regardless of whether they were a fraudster or innocent). black haired guy WOULD NEVER forgive blondie if this was irl bro. just any form of trust and affection was completely shattered from the very moment they met and blondie acted so antagonistic. which is why im glad the extra stories are a separate storyline, and also relieved that there’s a parallel universe where we do see them get their happy ending to give myself a peace of mind
