I don't remember if the tops ever get "together" again after getting with the bottom, but they were kinda together before, and definitely still hold affection for each other, as well as the bottom.
Basically three best friends, and the two tops were always both in love with the bottom. They used each other as an outlet for that love for a while, before all three become a thing. Both tops agree they would have been a couple if the bottom weren't in the picture.
