I think your opinion is valid!! I love this manga but I do agree compared to other GL plots it can feel kind of "bland". But what makes it so good is the simplicity and the expressive art. I think it's a great gateway GL for newcomers and baby queers so it's really been a hit with general audiences because of that

I read this when the first chapters came out and it was interesting but ngl yeah it has started to get too overrated. I usually don’t read GL but the opening of the story really pulled me in. Reading the recent chapters I’m starting to think it’s not that amazing. It’s still cute and I still find myself coming back to read this when it updates. Just cuz someone finds something overrated doesn’t mean they don’t like it and how are we ever going to find out if it’s good if we don’t give it a chance plus it gives the author more support and money. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
